"I'm going to try to catch up to you with this one dart!" Olive joked, her giggle echoing afterwards. She focused, kind of, and aimed the dart with one eye closed. Swiftly, she tossed the dart. It did a flip in the air and bounced off of the one she wanted it to. It landed on the ground, leaving Olive with a pouty look on her face (it only lasted about three seconds, though.)
"Oh well!" Olive shrugged, a content half smile spread onto her face. "That was still really fun!" She watched patiently as Mylie prepared to throw her last dart. "Good luck!" She said, giving a helpful thumbs up. If her brother were here, she was sure he'd tell her she threw like a 'tarded puss'. It was his nickname for all things lame, but Olive still uad no idea what it was.

Mylie tried her best not to look too amused when Olive missed. "I'm sure you'll do great next game," she laughed slightly and after a moment, she threw her last dart. Luckily, it stuck right to a yellow circles and she happily pumped her fist at her side triumphantly. "Heck yes. That was amazing, if I do say so myself," she joked, grinning at Olive. She looked away distractedly when she was handed a bag of candy as a prize.
"Oh. Want some?" The blonde offered the bag out to Olive after she opened it and popped a few gummy bears into her mouth. She loved gummy candy and various chewy, fruity candy. Gummy bears had always been her favorite, though. "You choose what do to next," she said quickly.

Olive gladly accepted an orange gummy bear and popped it into her mouth. She always forgot that she disliked gummy bears after she had eaten them. It wasn't so much the taste, just the fact that they stuck to her teeth and it bothered her. "Uhhh," Olive considered. Would she look desparate if she went for the zipper now? Nah, she'd save that for later.
"Have you ever been on any of these rides before?" She asked, specifically thinking about the ferris wheel. Their ferris wheel was nice. The chairs never rocked too uncomfortably forward, and the seats were padded. Not to mention there was a roof over their head. There weren't walls to their sides, though, for the sake of the view. But it was nice on that rare rainy summer night to have a roof covering you and your sweetheart as you reach the top of the wheel.

Mylie smiled sheepishly and shook her head. "Nope, never. I've been on a carousel a few times when I was little, but that's it," she admitted, tying the bag up and thoughtfully moved it from hand to hand, realizing that she had nothing to put it in and therefore had to just carry it around until she was done with the candy.
"Are they fun? They look scary," Mylie reluctantly admitted what she thought of a majority of the rides. Her nervous mind wondered what would happen if a ride was to break while they were on it. Best case scenario, they could be stuck there for a bit. Worst case scenario, it would result in death. She shook her head, trying to get rid of those kinds of thoughts about the rides.

Olive furrowed her brows and nodded. "Oh, yeah. Way fun." She said, adding a smile. "Come on, we'll start with the ferris wheel. It's super safe, I promise." She linked arms with Mylie again and walked her over to the ferris wheel entrance. They were the first ones loading onto a just-emptying load of people. That meant they got extra time on the wheel, which Olive was excited about.
The man at the front checked their stamps and settled them into the seat, closing the bar over their laps. "See? Super safe." Olive said reassuringly. She wanted to grab her hand or something, but she refrained. She knew she'd probably have to make the first move, though, given how shy Mylie was. She wondered how she could possibly get that girl out of her shell.

Mylie quietly followed Olive, tensing slightly when the bar closed over their legs, a bit startled. "This is going to hold us in?" She inquired, patting the bar slightly. She was pretty happy that she wasn't terrified of heights like some people were. They still managed to unnerve her, though. As long as she had a distraction (which she figured that she did, since Olive was with her), it wouldn't be so bad.
The blonde set her bag of candy next to her on the seat so that she could hang onto the bar with both hands, even if she was perfectly safe without holding onto it. "There really is a lot of people here," she hummed absently, noticing more people coming into the carnival as more time passed.

Olive laughed at her seemingly ridiculous fear. "Everything's going to be fine, promise." She gave her an encouraging pat on the arm. The wheel started to move, and they moved up a spot. Olive endeared the feeling of her feet dangling over the edge as she looked over shay she could see of the fairgrounds. It was very full, maybe even fuller than last year.
"Yeah, there's always lots of people who come to these things. But, this might just be the fullest I've ever seen it." Olive was impressed, andnhappynfornthebfairnowners. They probably made a shit-ton of money the past couple of nights. Olive glanced over to study Mylie's facial expression. "Still scared?" She asked, moving her hand over Mylie's. "Don't be, it's not big deal at all."

Mylie peered anxiously over the side of the ferris wheel, stupidly looking down at the ground and blinked with surprise at the height, and they were just going farther up. "A little bit," she said, glancing slightly at Olive's hand and immediately turned her head over so that instead of hanging onto the bar, she was clasping her hand together with Olive's.
Figuring that she was only holding Olive's hand because she was scared and she liked contact with others, Mylie looked once more at the ground before looking at Olive. "I'm happy you're here. I think I'd be dead from a heart attack right now if you weren't," she half-joked, leaning back in her seat slightly.

But to Olive, the message was so different. She was now holding her hand, and listening to her tell Olive how much she appreciated her. It was, to Olive, the epitome of romance. And as they stopped at the very top, she was sure it was a mutual feeling. She got bold, leaned over and kissed Mylie right on the mouth. For that split second, Olive was the happiest girl alive.
Olive had always developed crushes too easily, and this was no exception. People close to her told her often thay she shouldn't make impulse decisions until she knows for sure how the other person feels. But, Olive never listened. She was born an impulsive person and would stay that way until the day she died.

Mylie forced herself not to look down when they reached the top, looking back at Olive in time to be kissed. She squeezed her hand slightly tighter from surprise, narrowing her eyes slightly with confusion when she felt her breath hitch for moment. Was it out of shock? Happiness? Mylie was rather dumbfounded at the moment.
The blonde didn't let go of Olive's hand, even after she pulled away slightly. "Normally I don't kiss people on the first date," she joked with a soft laugh, her introverted self reverting to embarrassment and anxious joking after what just happened. The bridge of her nose was slightly red. It seemed that that was the only part of her that turned red (and a bit of her cheeks) when she blushed.

Olive frowned slightly after not receiving the reaction she had hoped for. "Oh, uh. Sorry." She said, giving a half-smile. "I thought maybe it would be okay..." She looked off at her side of the fair grounds, loosening her grip on Mylie's hand. She looked back for a brief moment, but felt so awkward she had to turn back again. That was...a bad idea. One of her worst.
She didn't know what sh had expected; a kiss back, or a genuine smile even? She sighed, wishing she could take it back now as she looked down at her dangling feet. She had just ruined a perfectly good friendship with her overly romantic ideas.

"No, hey," Mylie frowned, trying to get Olive's attention again, but it was rather hard with the other girl turned away. She narrowed her eyes unhappily and held onto Olive's hand tighter, though ended up loosening her grip a bit since she didn't want to harm the other girl. "It was." After a moment, she added onto that. "I mean, it was okay. Don't apologize."
Mylie wasn't even paying any mind to how high up they still were. "I'm sorry. Do you...want some more candy?" She offered, holding the bag up slightly and tilted it towards Olive. She just didn't want the other girl to look so down. "Please cheer up. I'm used to you being so happy."

Olive shook her head. "It was all my fault, I'm realy sorry." She said, guaging the girl's facial expression. She didn't look made, but she didn't look happy. "I really hope this doesn't come between us. I'll never do it again, honest." She crossed her heart; now Mylie had to be sure she was telling the truth.
She flashed a smile, just to ease the tension a bit. She considered telling Mylie about her problem with developing crushes tok easily. But, she decided against that. It was a story for another time. For now, Olive needed to focus on the fun side of her, not the flirty constantly-giggling side.

"And if I want you to do it again?" Mylie pursed her lips anxiously. She wasn't sure how she felt. Confused, maybe. "Stop apologizing. It's like you regret it," she raised an eyebrow at her before finally looking away, chancing a glance down at the ground and swallowed hard.
"...what do you want to do now?" Mylie asked after a moment of silence. Of course, she noticed one particular ride, unaware that Olive had thought about it before. "What's that?" She asked, nodding in the direction of the zipper.

Olive suppressed a blush and too big of a smile. "I guess that depends... On if you actually want me to do it again." She squinted her eyes and tried to read Mylie's expression, but couldn't. But more than anything she wanted to know what Mylie was thinking. Her big green eyes did their best to read all they could, but came up with nothing. Eventually, she gave up trying to read it and just kinda looked at her. Olive realy did think she was gorgeous.
She snapped out of it to look at the ride Mylie had pointed at. "Uhm, that's the zipper. It like, spins you around and stuff. Definitely one of my favorites, except it takes forever to wait for it to load up with people." That was what most teenagers liked about that ride- they never wasted valuable make-out time. The ride was like a ferris wheel, only the individual cars flipped back and forth.
