Mylie was...so, so happy that she hadn't been drinking at that given moment. She was sure that she might have choked to death, or at the very least, she might have spat it out all over poor Olive. Don't react, Myracle Rebecca. Even after Olive said that she was just kidding, she stayed silent for a moment, still a bit in shock before finally getting over it. Blushing a bit over the bridge of her nose, she smiled anxiously at her and laughed slightly.
"Wow. You fooled me," Mylie cleared her throat, pushing away certain mental pictures which were only serving to make her blush worse. "I just have my ears pierced. Really boring." She was rather...well, both surprised and relieved when Olive mentioned her sexuality. "I'm...less open about it. But I'm, y'know...bisexual too," she pointedly looked away, unwillingly to make eye contact while she fiddled with her fingers.
Trying not to think about her sudden bought of bashfulness, Mylie looked over the door of her closet like it was the most interesting thing in the world. "Well...why don't you have a dad?"

Olive laughed at he own hilariousness. "Did I? Sometimes I tell guys I just met that just to watch their jaws drop. It's so funny!" She smiled as Mylie told her that she, too, was bi. Sweet, the rumours were true! She smiled widely, unable to hide her happiness. "That's really awesome. There's like, hardly anyone here like us. I'm getting so bored of guys." She rolled her eyes and propped herself up on her elbows.
She was a little shocked at her next question becausenit was bolder than she seemed. "Uh..." Olive stuttered a bit. "I dunno." She shrugged. "I mean, I know. It's kinda a long story. But, long story short, I'm the result of a one night stand. Same wih my brother and sister- we all have different dads. My brother's black!" She smiled widely; she had always been entwrtained with telling people that. It made her family different from everyone else. She adored it!

Mylie laughed slightly at Olive's smile. "You're a really happy person," she observed with a smile of her own. "It's kind of contagious. Yeah, I can imagine. My sister complains all the time about a lack of bi girls," she hummed absently. She herself was less involved with other people than her sister, so even if every girl was bi, it wouldn't make much of a different for Mylie.
"Oh," Mylie frowned, figuring that maybe she shouldn't have asked. She couldn't imagine not knowing either one of her parents. She smiled immediately after she realized that Olive was smiling again. "Wow," she laughed. "That sounds great. The most interesting thing in my family is just that I have a twin," she shrugged, absently examining her nails. "Hmm...when did you figure out that you were bi?"

Olive giggled. "I'm glad. I'm such a cornball- I love happiness!" She said, even adding a little clap of her hands. There was the occasional person who enjoyed her overly peppy personality, but that person was rare. Everybofy was deep nowadays, and deep could only be depressing. Deep could only mean smoking cigarettes while talking about your broken childhood. It was lame, really. Olive would much rather be smiling than deep.
Then Olive was forced to think back to her middle school days- eighth grade to be exact. "Uh, I guess my story isn't too different from most. I was sitting in class one day and checking out a girl. And then it hit me- I was like, 'Woah, this isn't right.' So I talked to my sister about it and she said maybe I was a lesbian. But, that didn't make sense because I still was attracted to my boyfriend at the time. So she told me I was probably bisexual, and I've just been going with that from then on." She shrugged. "I didn't come out until freshman year, though." She looked back up at Mylie to guage her reaction. "What about you?"

Mylie laughed. "I can see that," she smiled, crossing her legs and checked the clock quickly before turning her attention back to Olive. "It's nice. I was worried that I was going to have a depressing roommate," she admitted. "Actually, I was worried that I'd have a druggie for a roommate too. And...a bunch of other things," she waved her thoughts of dismissively.
The blonde nodded thoughtfully, smiling slightly when she was asked about her own story. "Okay, well...I didn't even think about being anything but straight until one of my friends kissed me," she admitted with a bit of a shrug. "I don't really know. I just always thought that girls were pretty and everything...my friend was pretty happy that I didn't freak out at her when she kissed me," she laughed a bit. She could only imagine her own stunned face after her friend had kissed her. "I'm not nearly as open about it as you are, though."

Olive nodded understandingly. "Yeah, that makes sense. It's kinda cute, too!" She smiled. "My first kiss was a boy. He was going for a little more than I expected and ended up licking my face." She scrunched up her nose and laughed. That event was so embarrassing at the time, but completely hilarious now. The boy eventually moved away from Jersey; it was surprisingly easier to joke about someone when you're 95% sure you'll never see them again.
Joking was part of the reason Olive was so comfortable with herself. It allowed her to understand that she's notnperfect and neither is anyone else. "I guess there's no reason not to be open about it. You know?" She racked her rain for ways to explain her feelings on the matter clearly. "I mean, think about it. If you're not proud of who you are then someone could come along and snatch who you are from right under you." She sighed. "Ugh, that makes no sense." She groaned.

Mylie ended up accidentally snorting when she laughed at the thought of some boy licking poor Olive's face. "Oh my god. Wow," she giggled, shaking her head with amusement. Her first kiss had been a lot nicer than that, at least.
The blonde could only laugh further when Olive showed her how well she could explain things. "No, no. It...kinda made sense," she pursed her lips slightly in an effort to hide her amusement. It was rather cute how Olive had tried explaining not being open about yourself. "It's good that you're comfortable with yourself," she hummed. She knew that she wasn't proud of who she herself was at all. Why would she be? Pointedly pushing her unhappy thoughts aside, she snapped her attention back to Olive.
"You're wonderful at explaining things," she teased playfully, laughing slightly afterwards.

Olive laughed with her, rocking slightly backwards to hug her knees. "Your sarcasm is very much appreciated!" her laugh faded into just a smile, and she tucked a lock of hair behind her ear. She had decided that since Mylie had moved in, the room smelled like ripe bananas. This was not a bad thing; it smelled super delicious! It reminded her of a friend back home who would always chew banana flavored gum.
Olive reached overto pull the blinds up, letting light shine into the clean-but-cozy dorm room. She turned back to Mylie, her cheeks rosy from smiling so much. "So, Mylie, what kind of music do you like?" She asked, brushing her hair out of her face with her fingertips. Her hair was really bothering her, but it looked good so she let it be.

Mylie laughed, distractedly getting off the bed. Even if she was more of an introvert, she hated staying still if she wasn't doing anything like reading, writing, drawing...or, y'know, sleeping. She decided to look out the window over Olive opened it, leaning slightly against the wall and watched various people walk by with a curious frown on her face.
"Honestly? I really like pop. And...rap." Mylie laughed. "But I can't rap. And I have a massive crush on Justin Timberlake's, Maroon 5's, and Eminem's music," she grinned, resting her arms on the windowsill and slowly looked away from it and back at Olive. "But I listen to everything as long as it's not someone screaming it my ear. That stuff kinda frightens me. What about you?" She smiled sheepishly.

"No way?" Olive said. "I love when people scream in my ear!" She giggled, though it was actually tru; screamo and punk music, though she is a prep, was her passion. "I have such a crush on Oliver Sykes. And whoever that chick from iwrestledabearonce is. I love them both." She smiled, her big green eyes floating to the poster she had above her bed of Oliver Sykes. "He's so sexy." She giggled. The poster right next to his was of iwrestledabearonce, but it had the whole band instead of just the girl. "And... So is she."
Olive smiled and bit her lip, as if she had just told a secret. "But I like Eminem's music, too. I like his song 'Without Me.'" She remembered when she had first heard that song. It was kind of the song that taught her most of her sexual education and curse words. Shebhad listened to it first with her older brother, who got thirty seconds on before he turned it off so she wouldn't be exposed to his 'nastiness'.

Oh my god, don't think dirty. Mylie smiled with amusement. "I left all my posters at home. I had a lot of Eminem ones," she laughed, slowly moving away from the window and instead stood next to Olive's bed, her arms crossed over her stomach. "Oh my god, Without Me? Me and Rylie always drove around singing that song back home. Well, that and Ass Like That," she admitted.
Mylie daydreamed for a moment, recalling how many weird looks that got when her and Rylie drove around in Mylie's beat-up little car. Naturally, Rylie controlled the music and most of the time it was either Eminem, Avril Lavigne, or Lady Gaga. She liked all three, so it was never a problem for her to just let her sister control the music. Hopefully they could still do that here.
"Are you, like...really close with any of your siblings?" Mylie asked curiously, since she was thinking of fun times with her own sister.

Olive pressed her lips together, and for a moment her eyes looked sad as she nodded. "Yeah, my brother is like, my best friend." Her and her brother, Drake, would tell each other everything. Since they were so close in age they had always been close in friendship; Drake was comfortable telling her about the girls he dated and asking her advice about them. He promised her he'd stay a virgin until marriage if she did, and as far as Olive's concerned that promise had not been broken.
"He would take me to hang out with his friends and stuff when he was in high school. His friends liked me, but he stopped doing it when I became a sophomore and they were all seniors. I didn't really know why, but I guessed it was because his friends would talk about me, you know, differently to him." She sighed, missing her brother immensely in that moment. "He's in college right now, and I think he wants to join the army."
Olive wasn't sure about that; letting her brother join the army. On one hand, fighting for your country is a great thing. But on the other hand, she wasn't too okay with the fact that he might not come back.

Mylie nodded. She could understand having a sibling for a best friend. She was very sure that right now, Rylie was her best friend. Her brother Cooper...well, she did occasionally hang around with him, but he preferred being by himself, so she usually just left him alone.
"That's so sweet that he'd let you hang out with him and his friends," the blonde hummed, taking a seat on the edge of Olive's bed when she realized that Olive didn't seem as happy as she had been at the moment. Feeling a bit bad, she decided against commenting on her brother joining the army. "Hey, don't be sad. Tell me about your sister," she requested, hoping dearly that this wouldn't be a sad story.

Olive brightened up immediately. "Oh, I'm not sad!" She said, with her usual bright smile. "I just can't mutitask- thinking and smiling at the same time tends to trip me up." She giggled at her own joke. "My sister? Well. She's odd. I love her very much, but she's kind of.... Different from the rest of us." Olive didn't know how to say that her sister was a slut who had already had three abortions in the past two years and may or may not be (but definitely is) on drugs discreetly. "Different" summed it up just fine.
That was one thing Olive didn't have the energy to talk about. In a lucky glance she realized that they had talked for wo hours straight; the carnival was starting in about an hour. "Woah! We have to get ready!" She said, hopping up and opening her side of the closet. She pulled out a pair of jeans and one of her favorite tops; it was kind of dressy, with a see-through floral print and delicate lace around the trim. The sleeves were baggy and the waist was tightly tied with a bow in the front instead of the usual back. "What do you think of this?" She asked, holding the blouse up for the girl to see.
