Mylie laughed slightly and nodded, not pushing the topic of Olive's sister anymore. She glanced quickly at the clock when Olive mentioned the time, slowly getting back up. "I'm pretty excited for the carnival," she admitted, moving to her own side of the closet and pulled just a plain old light blue t-shirt that was kinda big on her and jeans.
The blonde shot a look at Olive, looking the shirt over. "It looks cute! Put it on and let me see how it looks," she said, satisfied with her choice of clothing, even if both things were rather boring.

Olive smiled and nodded. "Me too! It's gonna be a blast." She dug around her dresser for a black tank top to wear under the see- through garment. Quickly, and without even thinking about whether or not it would make Mylie uncomfortable, she pulled off her yellow tank top and replaced it with her black one, then pulled over the blouse. "Ta-da! My old lady shirt!" she announced, holding her arms out in show. She thought she filled the blouse out nicely, despite it's apparent bagginess. It was only tight around where it tied at the waist, but it looked different than what every other girl would be wearing tonight.
As quikly as before she changed into her light-denim jeans and checked her hair in the mirror on the wall. She decided to wear her hair up and out of her face; a nice change of pace for the night. She pulled it up sloppily, leaving bumps and a few fallen curls out. But as long as the majority was out of the way, she was happy. She wiped off her lip gloss and replaced it with a matching berry flavored chapstick. "Want some chap?" She offered it to Mylie.

Mylie was, luckily, turned away when Olive undressed. Either way, Mylie would have been a bit embarrassed, but it didn't matter to her. Olive didn't have anything that she herself didn't have, which was why Mylie was fine with getting changed right where she was as well. Of course, she was still turned away when she pulled her shirt off and tossed it onto the bed.
"Cute," Mylie smiled over her shoulder at Olive when she realized that the other girl had her shirt on. She pulled her slightly over-sized shirt on and pulled her hair out of her shirt distractedly. She quickly changed her jeans and turned while she was doing them up. "That'd be great. I think my sister took all of my chapstick," she laughed a bit, taking the chapstick from Olive and proceeded to apply it. Rylie was practically a chapstick junkie. Anything to put on her lips was great.

"Thanks! You look cute, too!" Olive said, loading her pockets with a pack of gum, lip gloss, and a spare hair tie. She glanced at the clock after a while of double checking things, brushing her teeth, and finding her sneakers, to see that the carnival was set to start in five minutes. "Yes! If we leave right now we can be there fashionably late." She said, with a small shrug of hwr shoulders and a smile.
There were going to be tons of people from school there since this was the last night the carnival was in town. Olive had to admit- she loved being seen. She was a cheerleader; it was in her nature to want to go around looking her best so other girls would whisper to each other. And on top of looking her best, she was going to have the cutest date there!

Mylie smiled a bit bashfully, though she did love the compliment. "Thanks." She slipped her shoes on, wearing just her sandals. After quickly checking her pockets to make sure that she had money, Mylie turned her attention back to Olive.
"Who's driving?" The blonde asked, patting her side and back pockets to make sure that she still had her iPod and phone on her. Yes, she was abit nervous about the carnival, which was beyond her. She convinced herself that it was the thought of the rides that was making her anxious, since she had never been on anything like a ferrish wheel before. Well, she had been on a carousel once or twice when she was little, but that hardly counted.

Olive laughed through her nose a little and waved her hand. "Oh, we don't have to drive, silly. It's right across the street from the main hall." The main hall was the building that had all of the classrooms and such. Right across the street from it was an abondoned parking lot which was where the carnival was held every year. Olive shoukd have expected that Mylie didn't see it because the office and dorm halls are all behind the main hall.
She opened the door and began to walk down the hall. She felt like she was forgetting something because she wasn't holding a purse, but she had her money in her back pocket, so she was fine. The carnival was so exciting she could hardly stand it. There would be: food stands, shopping stands, twisty rides, spinny rides, swing rides, preformers with balloons, and game stands. To name a few.

"Oh. Goes to show you how much I know," Mylie joked, happily following Olive out of the dorm room with her hands in her pockets. When he fingertips hit her phone, she decided that she should probably text Rylie later to see how it was going with her twin sister's roommate.
"I guess there's gonna be a lot of people there, right?" Mylie hummed with thought to herself. "I'm really not up for getting lost." She laughed a bit. Mylie knew all about her fantastic sense of direction. She'd probably end up getting lost a few times at the carnival.

Olive laughed as they walked out the dorm hall doors and followed the path to the front of the main hall. "There's going to be a lot there- not just people." They made their way to the school parking lot, and through the trees Olive could see the ferris wheel. "But don't worry, I'll keep an eye on you. Promise." Olive said, with a detectable hint of flirtiness to it. Tey loooed both ways and crossed the street.
And there they were; at the starting booth where they were given tickets and hand-stamps. "Ready?" Olive asked excitedly. She linked her arm with Mylie's loosely. "What are we gonna do first?" She asked, giving Mylie full control of the night. Olive had done this many times, but since it was Mylie's first she wanted to let her make the decisions.

Mylie nodded slowly, eyeing the ferrish wheel with another nervous frown on her face. Did she even want to go on that beast? Probably. Eventually. Mentally making herself promise to go on it before they left, she absently examined her hand stamp while trying to decide what to do. When she looked back up, the first thing she saw was a weight-guessing booth. At once, she shot that idea down. Having her approximate announced wasn't a very entertaining idea with Olive with her.
"Let's just...start with that dart game over there," Mylie chickened out of picking any intense amusement rides, gesturing to the booth with balloons and darts. She looked at the prizes for only a moment. Her aim was horrible. She figured that she might hit one balloon if she was lucky. The blonde tugged Olive in that direction.

Olive nodded happily and slipped over there with her, handing the guy a ticket. The girls each had ten tickets which meant ten games. The stamp on their hands was for rides, which they could do limitlessly. "I suck... So bad at this game." Olive admitted. The guy handed them each their own fifteen rubber suction darts. They were supposed to throw the darts and hit one of their matching circles; the darts were color coated and so were the circles.
Olive started by licking her finger and dampening the suction part of the dart (a blue one), then she threw it specifically aimed for a blue circle. Only, it failed and hit a yellow one instead. "Ahhh." Olive said, frowning for a moment before giggling again. "Your turn!"

Mylie pursed her lips to hide an amused smile when Olive tried her best to hit the circle, but...didn't quite make it. She picked a green dart after a moment of thought. Unfortunately, she failed to wet the end and instead just threw it. It hit the board and just sort of...tumbled down to the ground.
"Probably should've thrown a bit harder," Mylie laughed, going ahead and grabbed a blue dart, but still nodded at Olive to silently tell her that it was her turn. "I'll do better next time. We're going to win something," she decided determinedly.

Olive nodded with a mock-serious look on her face. "Agreed," she said, wetting the end as she had done before. "Maybe if I throw as hard as I can, I'll make it." She stuck her jaw out and raised an eyebrow in an 'ohhh yeah' kinda look. The guy running the stand chuckled at her as she goofily threw her hand back and then forward again. The red dart flew out of her hand and sure enough hit the red circle.
"Ah! Yay!!" She exclaimed, jumping up and down. "I did it! It actually works! Now you try." She smiled encouragingly at the other girl, who she wished would let loose a little more. She still seemed uptight about being a newbie, and Olive wanted to do everything she could to make her feel more comfortable. She crossed her fingers in hopes Mylie would make the next dart.

Mylie couldn't help but laugh a bit at Olive's behavior, grinning when she realized that Olive had managed to hit the green circle instead of another color. "Nice," she smiled, toying with her blue dart for a moment and thoughtfully dampened the suction cup on it. Throwing it (and not being nearly as dramatic about it as Olive), Mylie watched with a slightly displeased look as the dart stuck to the board right under the blue circle.
"Oh wow. Well...I have bad aim anyway," Mylie shrugged a bit, looking at her darts for a moment. Really, maybe carnival games weren't her thing. Or maybe it was just this game that she couldn't do. Anxiously, she grinned at Olive. "Go for it, it's your turn."

Olive gave a disappointed frown and picked up her green dart. Throwing it almost exactly as she had before, she missed completely and hit a red circle. "Lame." She said, shaking her fist at the dart she just threw. She laughed afterwards as she did each time. She even managed to make the booth runner laugh!
By the time she had one dart left, she had only hit a total of one circle. Just that one circle that one time. To be honest, Olive was a little distracted with thoughts of how the night would progress. She was specifically excited about the ferris wheel and a ride called the zipper. The zipper was a ride where the seats are these big, closed boxes with holes them that seat two people. That meant that when in one, you can see out but other's can't see in. I'm sure you can imagine why this thought would distract poor Olive; even though she knew she shouldn't try anything on their 'first date', she was already considering it.

Mylie had actually managed to hit five by the time she was on her last one, a bit proud of herself, but she didn't dwell on it since Olive had only hit one and she'd feel bad. She toyed with her yellow dart, looking happily over at Olive. Naturally, she had no such thoughts of the zipper; she had never even heard of it before, but she had gotten a glimpse of it when she had quickly looked around at what she could see of the carnival from where she was.
"Good luck. I believe in you," Mylie teased playfully, shifting her weight from side to side rather eagerly. She was doing better than she had thought she would. Honestly, she felt a bit childish for being so happy about hitting circles with darts, of all things. But it was her first time at the carnival, she figured that she was allowed to be happy.
