Prudence swore under her breath when she discovered she had forgotten that key piece of plastic she needed to get into the always busy club on her dresser in her room back home. She could pass for eighteen any other day, with any other bouncer but this guy had just forcefully removed her from the entrance and now one of the heels of her favourite pair of pumps was chipped off.
"Fuck!" She growled, stepping out of her ruined shoes. Prudence jammed her clutch under her arm and scooped her shoes up from the sidewalk. The hot pavement scorched her feet as she stood close next to her group of friends urgently directing them to open the back door once they got inside to let her in.
Hopefully her night wouldn't get any worse, it couldn't possibly. She was clinging to the small chance her friends would remember to get the door for her and let her inside so she could get that now well deserved mojito.

Brent chuckled and hopped off the tour bus, following behind. He wasn't really a guy that took extra joy and getting drunk like his band mates did, it just wasn't exactly his type of thing. Well, it actually had been before he realized how messed up he was getting. Getting drunk almost every night and ending it with some drunken sex wasn't the way of life he wanted to go about, unlike his band mate, Jack, who took joy in talking about his one night stands.
"Holy fuck, she's hot," he heard Jack say rather loudly. Brent looked up, easily spotting the girl who Jack was obviously talking about. And she was pretty hot, he could admit that. But whether she was underage or not, it was hard to define. But the fact she had just been turned away by the bouncer, made his mind scream 'underage' in big flashing lights in his mind.
He watched Jack walk towards her direction and Brent quickly pushed him out of the way. "No hell, bro," he muttered, reaching Prudence before of the other guys. "Hey, I'm Brent," he said, introducing himself. "Need help getting in?" he asked, glancing at the bouncer who was letting people in rather slowly.

She could hear the group of guys talking rather loudly, over whom she wasn't sure until two of them started to walk closer to her. She tried to calm her flustered appearance before one of them approached her and introduced himself. She had suddenly forgotten how to speak.
She pushed her hair back into its proper place, needing a moment to find her tongue again. "Uhm..yeah hi, I'm Prudence." She greeted, flashing a shy smile. He had offered to help her get inside, hadn't he? Prudence quickly took a glance back towards the slow moving queue, not seeing her friends still there. Of course, they had made it inside already.. She looked up at the tall man standing in front of her. "I'm actually just waiting for my friends..wherever they went." a tone of disappointment leaked into her explanation as she looked around for her companions once again.

Brent rolled his eyes a bit. He knew how it went, the friends promised to come back, but never did. He'd done it to people before without even realizing it, but that had been way back before his drinking phase that usually ended up with a one night stand and a hang over the next morning. That life style had lasted for a year or so until he had met someone who actually told him how he was fucking up his life.
He sighed and looked at the girl. "I'm sure by now you realize your friends are too caught up in having fun to come back for you," he told her. "So why don't you just take my offer? I promise I'm not like going to rape you, I'd be more worried about him raping you," he said, pointing behind him at Jack who rolled his eyes and walked in, the other band mates following behind as Brent stayed talking to the girl.

She smiled shyly at his gesture to help her into the club. She might as well go with him, knowing she wouldn't be getting in any other way. He seemed nice enough, but the friend of his that had walked inside didn't look to say the same about.
"Yeah, I kind of had a feeling they'd leave me behind," Prudence admitted with a shrug of her shoulders. She paused, looking up to his face. She would've dared to make a comment that she would have more fun with him than her friends, but decided against it. "You're really gonna get me past that bouncer though? He was kinda rude to me.."

Brent sighed, watching Jack wink at Prudence before continuing into the club. It was quite disgusting how many girls Jack had actually slept with. Brent wouldn't be surprised if the guy had some sort of sexually transmitted infection, the guy would deserve it either way. "Well I'm only in town for tonight and tomorrow morning, so make up your mind soon," he chuckled.
Brent gave a small nod. "Friends suck sometimes," he told her with a shrug. He looked down at her. "Uhm, I hate to break it to ya, but I could probably get a thirteen year old into this club," he told her. "Its not too hard to do," he shrugged. "So what will it be?" he asked her, shoving his hands into his hoodie pocket, waiting for an answer.

"Sounds good to me," Prudence said while she switched the hand she carried her shoes in. It'd be really annoying to have to hang on to them all night, no thanks to the broken heel. There wasn't much she could do about it now. Prudence stepped forward away from the side of the building towards Brent. She was still a little upset about her friends just forgetting about her so quickly, but that's what happens when they aren't all too fond of you in the first place. Prudence's friends were cold to her because they were all convinced she was a moraless little homewrecker that would steal their boyfriends.
She was curious to see how this night would play out, or if her 'friends' would remember that they were her ride home. She could get a taxi, but that wasn't the point. It was the fact that they hadn't made letting her in their top priority, clearly. Whatever, they could go be selfish rats while she partied with a band. She didn't want to seem petty, but how cool was that?!
