Gavin Jonathon St. Croix
Full Name: Gavin Jonathon St. Croix
Nicknames: Johnny
Age: Nineteen
Gender: Male
Ethnicity: Caucasian, French-American
Birthplace: Born in north France, raised in Joplin, Missouri
Occupation: Paid tattoo apprenticeship
Orientation: Bi-curious
Status: Single
Social Status: Emo/Scene
Height: 5'6"
Weight: 142lb
Personality: Gavin has Bipolar I disorder, his mood and actions can be unpredictable. He'll go for days with bouts of insomnia and complete lack of appetite or make very rash and poorly thought through decisions. Like snorting a few rails of coke before work or deciding to go knicking police cars. Needless to say, Johnny's gotten himself into a few situations
He's very obsessive over the letters he's received from his mother, and terrified of ruining even one of them. To the brink of being obsessive compulsive. He knows where he's stashed every single one of them in his apartment and would get extremely upset if he misplaced one.
He is relatively introverted, and rather socially retarded. Considering he's only been exposed to other children taken by Child Services he hasn't exactly developed people skills. You're able to tell when he's genuinely trying his best to get along with you though.
History: His life has been written in letters, stacks of them clutter Johnny's small apartment.
Dear Johnny,
I still love you.
I remember the night you were born, your father was working. He couldn't get off and I had no way of contacting him. But, I knew he'd like the name I had picked. Gavin.
Johnny suited you so much better though, you always seemed like a Johnny to me. Even when you broke your collar bone jumping from the roof. Remember I yelled Jonathon, not Gavin? I worry that you're confused now, as an adult. That you are never really sure what to say when someone asks your name.
Anyways, enough of that, dear.
Do you have a job? Are you even sure of what you want to do? I remember when you were little you wanted to be in the army. Said you liked their uniforms. Please, do tell me if you ever to enlist in the army. I'll pray for you extra every night.
How's California treating you? Maybe you've finally gotten a tan, instead of being white as a sheet all the time. I don't see how anyone finds that attractive, bud. There are lots of pretty girls in California. Do you have a girlfriend? Is she pretty? Is she keeping you in line? I hope she loves you as much as I do, Johnny. I hope she's wonderful and I hope you love her.
I tried getting in touch with your father the other day. He's changed his phone number again. I wonder if he misses us at all, if he thinks of you.
Dear Gavin,
I love you and I'll always be there for you.
love, mom
Gavin's father left when he was very young, and his mother couldn't support him properly. He was taken away from his mother and placed into a Child Services Home until he was eighteen. Gavin never attended school, but he taught himself to read and write some.
He always found himself receiving letters. From different addresses each time but all signed, 'Dear Gavin, I love you and I'll always be there for you. Love, mom.' It perplexed him at first, frustrated him that he couldn't read them. Slowly he acquired library books and taught himself how.
He has every single letter with him still, deathly afraid that someone will throw them away or he will be forced to. How his 'mother' always found his new address, or what was going on in his life he never knew. It will always concern him, but he never really wants to know where she is.
Other: Johnny smokes and is an 'occasional' cocaine user. He has yet to have properly shaken hands with the monster.
Secret: really, his entire life and way of living is a secret.
