Thomas was quiet as he flipped through stacks of CD's and vintage records in the virtually empty music store. He wasn't purposely looking for his brother's band, but always managed to come across one of their albums whenever he came into this store. They were putting out a new album soon, real soon. He wished he could be physically there for them, instead of through emails and photos.
"Yoo gonna buy anyfin' while y'in 'ere?" the cashier asked lazily from behind the desk. "W'good mates an'all but all yoo ever do in'ere is look around." Good friends, Tom and the bored looking cashier were roommates.
Tom's head snapped up from the Bring Me The Horizon display towards Godfrey leaning against the countertop. "Yeah, Godder. Where's that new Turboweekend CD at? They're proppa' ace."

She hadn't seen him in... Maybe three weeks. She needed to; not because she missed him, though. Not because she enjoyed his company and wanted more. She had to talk to him about what happened during the night she didn't remember. Unfortunately, Tom was the kind of guy that you had to just happen to see around. You couldn't go looking for him, because if you did you'd never find him. You had to specifically not be looking for him. You had to specifically be looking for... a CD perhaps.
As Desiree walked with a purpose through the mall, she felt slightly sick to her stomach. She'd had a big lunch earlier, chinese food. She was heading straight for the record store to buy an Everclear album; she had been craving their music lately. But the second she walked inside, her eyes widened, and she walked right back out. At the sight of Tom, she had forgotten everything it was she needed to do that day. She had also suddenly forgotten everything she had wanted to say to him before, also. She had spent so much time playing it out in her head; all she'd say to him. She practically memorized it, but now it was gone. After taking a few breathes, she turned back into the record store to face him. "Tom?" She said softly, standing in the doorway.

He looked up from the back cover of the Turboweekend album Godfrey had handed him moments before Desiree had made her way into the store. His stomach plummeted at the sight of her standing beside him. It took him a minute to find his voice again before speaking. "Uh, Dezzy..Hey, mush."
He had no clue what to say to her, he knew they were both aware of the situation they had put each other in by getting smashed doing the deed. He noticed the nauseated look on her face, making it even harder to find something to say to her.

Dezzy couldn't really stand to look him in the eye anynore; her face felt hot and her fingertips were tingling from nerves. She looked away and crossed her arms. "Uhm. We need to talk..." She said, finally after a period of time. They did need to talk- desperately. She could hear her own heartbeat pounding in her ears, as if she were listening to a loud song with a lot of bass. Her breath became uneven, and her palms began to sweat. What on earth was she planning to say?
She could just come right out with it, but maybe she should go easy on him. It wasn't like the whole thing was his fault- it takes two to tango. If anything it was mostly her fault. She was the one who had decided to drink that night. She was the one who wasn't careful- she knew the consequences better than he did. Though she couldn't remember it clearly, still, she had a pretty good idea of what had happened between them.

Tom heard Godfrey say he was going to be outside on his smoke break and murmured, "A'right lad," He was more concerned that Dezzy was going to pass out or something. He set the cd down in its place on the shelf and turned to her, a little uncomfortable with the idea of talking to her because he had a feeling he knew what about.
"Yeah, I guess we do.." He stuffed his hands in his hoodie pockets, looking down at his shoes. Was he supposed to say something? Apologize? He wasn't truthfully sure what he was even apologizing for, so he figured he'd wait for her to say something first.

Dezzy choked up a bit, pausing and leaving a moment of silence between the two. She decided, nervously, just to tell him straightforward. "Uhm, I don't exactly remember what happened that night between us... But I'm about 85% sure... I'm pregnant." Her jaw shook, as well as every other part of her body. She had sudden doubts- maybe she should have just kept it to herself. It would have ca used nobody but herself trouble. It might have been better if he never knew. She bit her lip hard as she waited for his reaction. He might cry- she sure did when she got the first inclination. She also vomited. He might vomit. Her hands were shaking and sweating profusely. She could hardly breathe, let alone keep from tearing up again. She didn't know what she'd do if it were true. She hadn't seen a doctor yet or anything. She was kind of new to this whole drunk sex thing- she didn't know her options.

Tom was completely thrown off guard by what she had just told him. He was stunned into silence as he brought his gaze back to her's. If he was still holding that cd, chances are he would've let it clatter to the floor. He swallowed hard, trying to grasp his head around this new information. "... Y'pregnant?" he repeated back to her, to make sure he had heard her correctly. "Wiv like..an infant?"
Thomas couldn't even process this properly. A baby. Dezzy..was having a baby. His baby. What had he gotten himself into? Was she planning on keeping it? Was he expected to raise it as well? Of course he was, if he didn't he'd be the town arsehole forever.

Dezzy swallowed hard and shot him a look. "Yes... With, like, an infant. Your infant." She uncrossed one of her arms to chew on her fingernail. She wasn't fond of his reaction. It kind of made her want to cry. Or just, go back home and sleep. Either way, her heart was hurting right now thinking of all the people she had let down; her father, her brother. Tom. She turned away from him so he wouldn't see her cry. But the fact was that she had been crying for weeks now.
"I'm really sorry," she croaked, turning her head slightly over her shoulder so he could hear her. She looked like hell; dressed in blue jeans and a gray sweatshirt. She wasn't wearing any makeup. What was the point? Makeup was just ruined by her tears. Her hair was up in a simple ponytail. She felt like hell, too. Though she said she was only about 85% sure she was pregnant, she was hanging on to that fifteen percent with her life.

He frowned at the sight of her crying, he really didn't want to see her cry. He knew he couldn't do anything about it either. "I.. Dezzy please don't cry," he said, about to place his hand on her shoulder but concluded that might be a bad idea. What was he supposed to do to make her feel better? Saying he loved her or something was probably a very, very stupid idea as well.
"I... 'M sorry, mush. Whot're you.." he quickly corrected himself, "whot are we gonna do, about this...baby?" He had trouble saying it, knowing he was talking about his own child not someone else's. He wasn't good with babies, what seventeen year old was? What was he going to tell his family?

Dezzy wiped a tear and turned back to him, raising an eyebrow and frowing. "You don't have to worry about it. I'll take care of everything. I just thought you should know." She gulped and looked up at him, feeling the urge to apologize again. But, she held it in for her own pride, which was already rather low at this point. She had become the girl she once had said she was disgusted with. The very girl she once scoffed at. She was a pregnant teenager.
And she was fully prepared to go it alone. Actually, that's false. She was mentally prepared to go it alone. Physically and financially was a little iffy. She wasn't sure how she was going to call up her father asking for an extra two hundred bucks for diapers. She was independent, though, and determined to make the right decision. She just had to figure out what that was.

A question sat at the tip of his tongue; will she even keep this baby? He didn't dare ask it though, it wasn't his decision to make. He really did want to be there for her, though. But by the looks of it she wasn't having the same feelings.
His eyes skimmed the floor for a moment before returning to Dezzy's face. "If you need anything.. money, I'm here." This was true, even if she didn't want him involved with this.. situation. She had parents and a meager job to depend on for money, he had his own funds and a brother to float him when he needed it.
