First things first; Joey loves his mother more than anything. The only thing he truly cares about is his mom. School comes second- his education is extremely important to him. He's looking forward to getting a full-paid scholarship to one of the ivy-league schools, because he knows he can get it.
Joey wants to be famous for something someday; whether it's writing music or science & engineering. He's a pretty smart guy. I mean, he's only a junior, but he's taking AP Physics. He's good at science, and doing things he's good at keeps him happy. Joey's a very happy person, most of the time, because he's able to distract himself from other things with his work.
He's a very caring person, a natural-born romantic, and very respectful. He's the kind of guy that won't put his hands on a girl anywhere other than her face and her hands, simply because he was brought up to believe that's what was respectful. It's hard to tell if he's interested in you or not, because he's somewhat shy. He likes to make friends, but he also likes to keep them at a distance. High school can get messy sometimes, so he's developed this habit to prevent it from hitting him too hardly.
History:
Joey is a foreign exchange student from England, who was sent over here mainly because of his incredible grades, and partly because he didn't have a single friend at his school. Yes, he was an outcast before. He was too shy to make friends with anyone, so he focused all of his energy into his studies. It helped him get his mind off of the not-so-recent events that had occured.
When Joey was seven years old, his sister had just turned six. She was diagnosed with Leukemia, and bed-ridden for almost a year and a half after that. Then, a year and a half later, her body couldn't take it anymore and she died. It was one of the most scarring things that could happen to a young eight year old, and Joey still has nightmares about it.
Joey spent most of his time on schoolwork, and any of his spare time he spent hanging out with his mother and her dreadful chihuahua, Beepers. If she wasn't available, Joey wrote songs and music on his guitar. These songs, of course, are songs he'd expect for no one other than himself to hear. It's a shame, too, because they're really beautiful.
Other:
-Joey's favorite poem is this two liner; "The English woman is so refined, she has no bosom and no behind!"
-Joey's favorite song is Lua by Bright Eyes.
-Joey's pro-status at ballroom dancing because his mom has forced him to take classes since he was ten!
