/Werr, this is it. I can't spend anymole money./ Ryota thought in a rather childish manner as he walked down the dirt path. The park was the place he went when he wanted to do something out of the house, it was public and free after all. Although he hated having to live like this, especially when everyone around him was living the good life.
But they had to live here, or his parents wouldn't be able to make it to their jobs and they'd have to struggle even more to make it. He still didn't like the tease though, all the people around him were rich and he was nothing but some poor middle-class kid. One of the reasons why he had been bullied at his old school. In his thinking, he finally realized that he had wandered off the path.
All around him were flowers, all were very beautiful. /I bet they smerr nice./ He thought, sighing. That was another reason why he'd been picked on. What kind of normal kid couldn't smell anything? Regretfully Ryota had lost his sense of smell, although it wasn't exactly his fault. His nose had just... Given out or something.
In fact, he'd never known exactly what had happened. Just what became of it. Not wanting to stay in the same place he walked forward a few paces and set his back against a tree, leaning on it for support. After a few moments he sank down and sat on the ground beside it. Things would get better, they had too.

She kept as close of an eye as she could on the plastic bag of items at her feet while she sat under a secluded tree. Silver's heavy eyes begged to close but she refused. Not with her possessions unguarded and the risk of being seen by her classmates, even if she was so far away from the benches and picnic areas.
While her mind churned out scenarios of what would happen if someone saw her, she noticed the young man resting a few meters away. Her eyes widened slightly and she quickly ducked her head down in hopes he hadn't seen her face. She didn't have enough strength to get up quickly enough and run off without question, otherwise she surely would have.

Ryota blinked, was there a girl just there? / What's she doing out hele?/ She seemed afraid of him or something because she ducked her head down. "Herro, is anyone out thele?" He asked. Usually there weren't people out in the middle of the woods, especially anyone that seemed a bit afraid of him.
Not realizing what he was doing, Ryota got up and walked toward where the girl was. "Ale you okay?" As he got something close to a good look at her she looked really tired. /Maybe she's rost.../ He thought, trying to look at her with kindness in his eyes. If she was lost he could help her back home. Poor Ryota, always so naive.

Silver looked up at the boy who had approached her. Her back was pressed up against the rough tree bark and this young man was too close for her liking even if he was a few feet away. Silver blinked up at him from the ground with glassy eyes, staying quiet.
She protectively pulled the plastic grocery bag closer to her body, trying to mentally will her frail bones from the dirty ground. She was acting like a frightened deer and at any moment she could've run off. Instead, she just sat there and softly answered, "No,"

That was odd, usually when something was wrong people cared to say why. /Maybe she's to tiled to think stlait./ Ryota thought. He took another step closer, although now he was being careful. Whatever was in that bag she must value, and if she thought he was going to steal it... She wouldn't be happy.
"Werr, what's wlong?" He asked, trying to remain polite. If he stayed polite and civil maybe she'd think that he wasn't going to do her any harm. Right now she looked like a startled deer, and it kind of alarmed him too. He wasn't scary or mean, why was she afraid? /I guess I wirr have to get the answel from hel myserf./

Her stomach growled angrily at that moment and Silver blushed, embarrassed more than anything; even though she was so hungry she felt sick. "N-nothing you can fix." Her tone wasn't very conversational, and very quiet but clearly he couldn't tell the difference between being welcome and unwelcome.
She quietly studied this boy, unsure what to make of him. He looked kind of feminine to be honest, but either way. She wasn't planning on getting to know him very well so now was a good time to make assumptions. By the slight 'R' pronunciation of his words he was most definitely Japanese, clearly gay considering his hair was a stark blonde, and a very naive for trying to strike up a conversation with her.

He heard her stomach growl and felt sympathy gnawing at him. She must be starving by the sound of it. And as he looked at her it was clear she was embarrassed to have him realize that. /Serf-sufficient./ Ryota thought, he'd have to help her. It wasn't some stubborn determination that drove him, simple kindness was part of it... But... He felt like he needed to do something.
"You sound hungly, I courd fix that. You rook pletty tiled too." Ryota said, if it was anyone else he probably wouldn't have wasted his time. But, this girl looked about his age and was in terrible condition. It was at that point that he realized she was looking at him and thinking. /Assuming things I bet./ He thought. She didn't seem very nice, likely from the lack of food and sleep, so it would only be right if she started assuming things about him.

"I'm fine." she snapped, the glassy look in her eyes turned to what looked like the start of tears. Pure exhaustion was taking an awful toll on her mood. Silver swallowed hard, refusing to let herself be brought to tears in front of this stranger. She rested her head on her knees, trying to cope with the almost unbearable pain in her stomach.
Even if she had the funds to buy herself some sort of meal, she wouldn't have. This was just, her body decomposing. She was rotting away and she looked like a corpse to prove it. Her clothing clung to her small frame, along with a worn out winter jacket. What better place to carry it than on her body.

"You ale not fine, you ale stalving! You rook rike you ale about to corrapse! Prease, at reast you shourd find somerhing to eat. Ol ret me get you somerhing?" Just before he met her he said he wasn't going to spend any money, ironic wasn't it? But it would be worth it, she looked like nothing more than skin and bones. She was tired and starving... It made his heart ache just looking at her.
/At reast I can't smerr hel./ Ryota thought, which made him feel even worse. He shouldn't be thinking such mean thoughts about a stranger, although besides her hunger and exhaustion she looked pretty... Nice. Nice things smelled good, right? Or at least that was what he had remembered. /I have to convince hel to ret me herp hel./ He told himself.

"I'm fine, t-thank you." she whispered, her voice thick with the lump in her throat she was trying to swallow away. No one had ever made an effort to help her, never. His simple kindness was almost too much for her to comprehend. Why would someone even bother with her? Silver slowly looked up to the determined young man standing in front of her. She wiped away the sparse tears from her eyes and smiled weakly. "Really..I'm alright, don't worry about it."
She was convinced she was okay. Not normal and healthy, but okay. That this was all in her head and her body was really rotting away in the ground somewhere. That's why she felt so awful. She was dead and decomposing. Maggots crawling through her flesh and all. She was in Hell and spending the rest of her days in what seemed to be her living life was her punishment.
Punishment for being an awful daughter. Another smack across the face and a twist of her arm. Punishment.

"You ale not fine. How many times do I have to terr you this? Come on, get up. You need somerhing to eat." Ryota said, and by now he was getting determined. If she didn't say yes he'd bring her food anyway, and he had a look on his face that said so. She couldn't reject free food could she? That would be just plain stupid of her, she was starving!
...But how would he get her to sleep? She didn't seem like she wanted too. /I'll worry about that later. First thing's first, got to get her some food./ He knew he had some in his car, and if not then there were vending machines at the rec center. It wasn't much but, it was something. And he'd rather not spend any money. /I'll check the car first./

She sighed in a moment of weakness, slowly staggering up from the ground. Silver quickly snatched up her grocery bag of clothing, the blood rushing to her head. She squeezed her eyes shut for a moment before tiredly looking towards Ryota. "Fine. Okay." she mumbled, forcing a smile for him.
Silver had to lean against the trunk of the tree for a moment, struggling to not pass out. She really was a mess, and it only occurred to her now exactly how bad it was. She wasn't sure she could walk all the way to even get something to eat. Even so, she straightened her posture and slowly approached Ryota.

Ryota smiled. "Good, if you need to you can rean on me." He said, starting to walk forward slowly, and hoping she would follow. Now that she was standing she looked in even worse shape than before, it made his stomach sink just looking at her. But at the same time, it assured him that he had done the right thing. In a way, now that he thought about it, he had to admire her stubborness.
After a few steps he started to talk again. "I folgot, my name is Lyota. Most people call me Lyo rhough. It's nice to meet you, is thele any way I can get you to terr me youl name?" He hated thinking about her as 'she' or 'girl' he'd like to know her real name. It was only polite after all.

She was trying very hard to stay awake, but didn't accept his offer for her to lean on him in fear she'd pass out or something even more embarrassing for herself than her stomach growling. It took her a moment to realize he had asked for her name. She didn't particularly want to tell him but felt obligated to now.
"I uhm..Silver." she spoke softly. She regretted telling Ryota her name, he'd probably alert the school or something ridiculous like that. Then she'd be forced into a homeless shelter and it would be all downhill from there. She'd be in therapy again and everyone would think she's even more of a freak then they thought already.

"Sirvel, that's a beautifur name you know." Ryota said, a slight grin spreading across his face. "I've nevel heald a name rike it, actuarry." Yes, she would definately smell nice. There was no way a girl with a name that pretty, and who didn't look to bad herself, wouldn't smell nice. He was sure of it.
"You ale not vely tarkative ale you?" He asked, in a slightly teasing fashion. A bit of relief hit him as he saw the path through the trees. Maybe she'd be more willing to talk once they got out of the forest. /Or she'll be even quieter now that other people are around./ Ryota thought, feeling slightly bad.
