Radioshack. Gerald Dagger hated the store, but he needed to start looking for a new camera. The one he had was fine, but after he carried the monstrous camera around Italy for three weeks, his arms were sore. His boss told him he could find a lighter one. The young man was tall and lanky, but he had an average amount of muscle.
His light blue eyes scanned over the different cameras. Now, Gerald wasn't looking at the small handhelds. No. He worked for news, he was looking at the ones that rested on his shoulder like a mechanical parrot.
From nearly everyone in the store, Gerald had already received an odd glance, then again his hair was up in a mohawk, like it normally was, also his black hair had a blue tint that refused to fade away. He shoved his hands into the pockets of his loose black jeans, before he attempted to fix the dark blue Zoo York shirt that he had on. As he continued to look at the cameras, he chewed on the back on his silver monroe piercing, then he reached up and messed with his bridge piercing before his hand shoved back into his pocket.
Damn these cameras. He should go to Best Buy, but he just didn't want to bother, but it would be his luck that he would go to Best Buy later and see an even better camera after he already bought one from this store. This was literally as important as buying a new house or car, or well, only if you work as a cameraman for a television station, if not then you're just a bit weird.

Why was it so fun just to look around random electronics stores? Honestly Falerin had no strait answer, and right now he didn't feel like thinking. He was just looking at random crap and trying to spend as much time as he could doing nothing. It was great, he finally decided to take a break from his college essay and now he had nothing to do.
Scratch that, it was fan-fuckingtastic. Looking at his cheapo plastic watch he still had twenty minutes left. Great, he was just getting to the last section of the store, which happened to be camera's. After this he'd probably hit up Best Buy, they usually had better shit to look at. Yes, the twenty-one year old was wasting his time in electronics stores. Deal with it.
He had his hair under a black beanie, which he STILL needed to get cut. Next break he should probably get to that... Or he could look at clothing stores... /Stop getting off-task damnit!/ Falerin thought to himself with a laugh. His brown eyes scanned everything they could take in, which was a lot seeing as he was so tall.
In fact he wasn't really looking anywhere except at the shelves, and side-stepping like the idiot he was. He ran strait into someone. "Oh, crap sorry." Falerin said, recoiling sharply. He had a weird look on his face, especially since he'd run into a tall guy. How did he run into someone he could actually see?! All he could really do was stare down towards the other guy, a confused look on his face.

At the sudden impact, Gerald sidestepped. He looked over, but then realized he had to look up to the person that had bumped into him. Shit. Now he knew how his 5'9 brother felt like around him. The young man wasn't even sure he had ever seen anyone this tall before, but quickly pushed the thought away.
"Um, no problem," he replied, his southern accent faintly hidden under the words. The accent never really did fit him, then again, when people think of Texas, farms and cowboys mostly come to mind, not a dude with a bluish black mohawk. Although Gerald spent his life in Austin, where one of the logos is 'keep Austin weird'... so most likely, he seemed normal compared to the rest.
After a quick glance back to the monster size cameras, Gerald soon realized it be more fun to talk to Mr-Walking-Empire-State-Building. "I'm Gerald by the way," he greeted as he looked back up to the other boy. There was no way he could get use to looking up.

"Oh my god, thank you for not being one of those dickheads that gets pissed when I'm not looking down and I hit them. I'm Falerin, although most people call me Fale, nice to meet you." Falerin said, really sounding relieved that this dude wasn't a complete dick, in fact he seemed friendly.
He was so used to being yelled at for being so clumsy that he was already thinking up retorts in his head, although usually they were for after he tripped over someone. Heck, he'd almost tripped over the girl he'd been dating about ten times now. Falerin made sure he took a moment to look this other guy over, he was reasonably taller than most people.
Although it satisfied Falerin that he was still the tallest person he knew, he'd heard of people taller than him, but he'd never met any of them. It was kind of stupid bragging about himself, he should stop doing that in his mind. Looking around he saw a few more camera's before he turned back to Gerald. Some of these prices were fucking rediculous.

Gerald smiled at how Fale sounded relieved about the fact that he hadn't gotten mad. He shook his head, "I think most short people just like to yell at people that are taller," he stated. "But, it's nice to meet you, too, you're the first person I've met that I actually have to look up at," he added.
He glanced back to the cameras, thankfully, he wasn't the one paying. His boss gave him money and told him to get a new camera. The only problem was Gerald tended to be a perfectionist about anything he bought, so he had to make sure it was the right camera.
Soon his attention went back to Fale, "So, what are you up to?" he asked. It was such a common question, but he barely knew the guy, and honestly any conversation would be more interesting than continuing his search for the perfect camera.

"I have yet to meet someone I have to look up at, and I hope I never do. It always sucks almost hitting my head on truck clearence things at drive-thru's. Like, I could jump and hit my head on those, and having to like, limbo through doors and shit. If anyone were any taller than me I'd feel sorry for them." Falerin said with a slight laugh, amusing himself with mental images.
He imagined someone three inches taller than him not looking and smacking their head on a drive-thru clearance bar, which as bad as he would feel, he would have laughed his ass off at them. Although he did quite a bit of failing himself, especially when he used to actually go to school on campus. He'd be talking to someone and not paying attention... And them -SMACK- strait into a door.
"Nothing much, taking a little break from my end of term essay. Online college, because on campus I take to much abuse from doors and poles and whatnot." Falerin said with a laugh. "What about you man?" He asked, looking over at the camera's again, these things were outrageous. As good as they were he'd probably never buy one.

Gerald shook his head, "I would just have to wonder why you'd be walking through a drive-thru, or anyone for that matter." Although he would admit that someone walking into a clearance pole would probably be one of the funniest things he could ever witness. He bit his monroe piercing some, a habit that he just did absentmindedly since he had gotten the piercing back when he was sixteen, so he chewed on it a lot.
He smirked, "I went to an Art Institute, but I was barely ever on campus," he stated. "But I'm pretty much here because I need to look for a new camera for work," he rubbed the back of his neck before he just shoved the hand back into one of his pockets. With another glance to the cameras he continued, "I'm just glad I don't have to pay for it with my money."

"It's all a very complicated plan. It just involves twenty-five cent chicken nuggets and a dream." Falerin said with a laugh. "Because if you have to be a jackass and order one, you gotta WALK through the drive-thru, you see." In truth he had done that before, just not down here, and his friend was working the drive-thru. He'd never done it to a random employee, and now that he though about it he really wanted too.
"Hence why I will never get one of these camera's. You gotta be crazy to pay for one of these out of your own pocket, as good as they are. And an Art Institute sounds like fun, if I were artistic at all. It seems anything artistic at all, if I touch it, just turns bad. I have no idea why." Falerin admitted. It was true, most artsy things he touched or was around ended up becoming messed up in some way. His influence was just corrupting.

Gerald smirked and shook his head, "Now I want to walk through a drive thru," he teased. Honestly, it sounded like something he would have done back in high school with his friends. "One time in the middle of the night, me and some friends moved a 'road closed' sign along with the cones and other stuff," he randomly stated.
At Fale's statement about how art fell apart around him, he shook his head. "Well, then you should stay away from my filming stuff because that's how I get paid," he teased. For the most part, he was glad that he was done with college. It hadn't been to difficult to get a filming degree but then again it had been short classes and tons of homework that were mostly large projects.

"Do it bro, it's fun as shit." Falerin said with a laugh. "It's not as bad as the fail prank we tried to pull at my old school. News crew was coming and we were trying to cement a toilet to the steps in front of the building, ended up being in the middle of the road with cement all over the place. Really sloppy job, but we had to bail. That still sounds fun as shit though."
"Or maybe I could touch every camera here, then you'd be screwed wouldn't you?" Falerin said, jokingly reaching for the camera next to him, although he daren't touch it. The 'you break it you buy it' policy rang in his head and told him that if he touched anything, he shouldn't touch one of these camera's he'd have to sell an arm and a leg on the black market for.

"I think in high school I was in trouble like everyday," Gerald stated. Then he shrugged, "But I mean most of the time it's worth it." Although a majority of the things he got in trouble for had been because of drugs and fighting. The young man still randomly got cravings for heroin but it was slowly going away, he just tended to keep himself busy to distract his mind from it.
When Fale reached for the camera, he smirked. "Well, you'd be the one paying for the broken cameras not me," he teased. He shook his head, "Besides, I imagine I could find a camera in another store after you infected all the ones here." He reached up and scratched the side of his head, he use to have a habit of running a hand through his hair, but if he did that now he would mess up his mohawk.

"Indeed." Falerin said, he needed a way to drift from the subject. It was boring him already, morely because he missed all his friends from High School, it's not like he was able to see them or anything and didn't. He didn't have any choice in it, well he did, but this place was better for his brothers. As much as he wanted too, he wouldn't be selfish enough to take it away from them. Not when they were finally getting settled down again.
"I could run off and say you did it, couldn't I?" Falerin said, raising both of his hands and shrugging. Which managed to make him laugh at his own shenganigans. "True, but I bet you you'd come back and find a better one here, one of the first ones I touched. That would blow, and THEN you'd be angry at me I'd bet."

Gerald shook his head, "I really would be screwed then," he replied. He reached up and messed with his bridge piercing. His thoughts trailed off a bit, a bit distracted with other random thoughts. Then he realized that since he had only been in town a day, he had no idea what there was to do around here.
With that in mind, he looked to Fale. "So, is there anything interesting to do in this town?" he asked. He then put his hand in his pockets as he waited for an answer. He really hoped that this town wasn't insanely boring, because then he would be screwed, considering that he got bored easily.
