Her lips were chapped and raw from biting at them. Prudence had been unable to concentrate and managed to fail the social studies quiz her class had taken earlier. Her parents could never understand how such a bright girl's grades could have dropped so suddenly and so drastically. They figured that maybe allowing her to transfer school she would do better. Truth be told she knew every answer, how wrong were her parents. She was just so distracted by her teachers, like she had been at her previous school.
Prudence carefully knocked on the classroom door. "Mr Zadock?" She asked cautiously, trying to mentally compose herself. "You wanted to speak to me..about my test?" This was exactly what she wanted. She figured she would talk to him about her score and then bargain her way into him changing her mark.
As she waited in front of his closed door she tugged her top down, exposing her bra ever so slightly from the collar of her tank top. Prudence smiled to herself and ran her fingers through her hair.

Aeron was sitting in his chair at the front of the class-room. Passing time during free period, which always seemed to be such a bore. Well it was likely because he didn't have many friends in this place. Some of the teachers liked him and some of them hated him, and most were busy with lesson plans. Two weeks before school started Aeron already had his shit together.
But he was always like that, organized, had to know where everything was. Had to be early to everything, maybe it was the way he was brought up. Maybe he was just weird like that, whatever the case he seemed to be left out of the rush to get everything done. Beside his chair he had his table that he kept props on, or whatever he needed for his next lesson.
As of now it was holding his snack, an apple. Taking a bite of it, he heard a knock on the door, and Prudence's voice. /Why is she here? Oh yeah I wanted to talk to her about her test grade.../ Aeron panicked for a minute, however he regained his cool quickly. Apple still in hand he opened the door, looking Prudence up and down. "You really should pull up your shirt." He said, taking a bite out of his apple. "Some guys will think you're selling."
Most teachers wouldn't have dared speak to a student in that way, but Aeron found that that set in a much thicker impression than sugar-coating it. Let the girl learn for herself. "Anyways, I do want to speak to you about your test, come in." He made a motion with his hand to tell her to walk inside the class room and went to sit back in his chair.

Prudence's face fell, embarrassment rising in her cheeks. Quickly adjusting her top she tried her best to clear her head again as she approached him, test in hand. "If its any consolation I've never really done that well in Social Studies to begin with.." she bit her lip, setting the papers down on her desk. "I promise I'll try better next time though."
She had gotten less than fifty percent, she had no choice but to actually put some effort in her grades. Unless she wanted to fail, of course. She had never actually failed a class in her life, recently she started just grazing by. Maybe Prudence would actually put a conscience effort into this class. She knew all the answers but preferred to play dumb.

"If it's any consolation you're retaking that test. So you should do better next time, if you don't then you're going to keep your grade. Whether it's a pass or a fail." Aeron said, yes it was a bit mean but some students needed tough treatment to do better. Not to mention the fact that she seemed like a smart girl, there was no way that she failed that test on purpose.
"And by your grade I'm lead to the conclusion that you obviously didn't study, or not for very long at least." Ah always about business. Honestly he was waiting for her to start to get bored of his 'lecture' most students did and he bit them back for it. Or at least, that's what they thought anyway. He didn't want to be known as the mean teacher. Although sometimes he had to be.

"Mr. Zadock...Could you please just do me a huge favor and change my grade from a D to a B? B- even?" she pleaded. She could have simply said she would retake the test but that would've been too easy, that would be like admitting defeat. She wanted to come across as the girl that needed to be taught a lesson. "I'll do anything for you if you could just change my grade."
Prudence slid her thumb under her bra strap to avoid it from sliding down her shoulder, knowing that she had drawn attention to her chest. She shifted in her seat as she waited for his answer. She had a feeling he would completely blow her off and force her to write the test again.

"Anything, huh?" Aeron was going to play this to his advantage. "Than how about you go and retake the test? For me? All I want is for you to make a good grade, I can't just hand one to you." He said, a slightly cross look on his face. This game was one he knew, she was trying to take advantage of him.
/Well I won't let that happen, she needs to retake this test./ Oh the stubborn resolve of the Welshman was hard to match, once he made up his mind he stuck to it. That was unless it ended up being a really bad decision, that is.

Prudence sighed, he was supposed to be the carefree teacher; the cool one that let things slide. She looked him in the eyes, disappointment plain in her face. "I..guess I'll just have to try and do better next time then." She straightened up, sliding the test back into her hand. "Thanks Mr. Zadok,"
She was holding her tongue, but knew better than to try again. It was one of those times where she could not win no matter how hard she tried. She could always ask for help after class in hopes to get on his good side.

"If you want I could give you help after class, or even during free period. That should help bring your grade up." Aeron said, feeling slightly guilty for being so mean. That was his one weakness, if he ever felt he was too mean he would start being extremely nice.
/No, no. You'll help her but don't give her a better grade on the test!/ He was fighting with himself. However he finally managed to tell himself that she'll make a better grade on the test if he helped her. That seemed to ease him, although he didn't like the fact that she had asked to have him let it slide in the first place. If it wasn't a test he would have said yes...

She turned back to face him, "You would really do that?" she asked, then realizing she sounded mildly stupid considering its his job. Prudence caught herself quickly, "I--please, thank you. That would be great," she flashed a smile and turned to walk back out of the classroom.
Yes! she would gladly spend time after school pretending to need extra help. Mr. Zadok was the only male teacher she had that semester, she had to make the most of it while she could. It helped that he was actually a good looking guy, for someone ten or so years older than her. Unlike her other previous teachers who where slightly overweight and had greying hair.

"No problem." Aeron called after her. /She seems awfully in a hurry./ He thought, but didn't make anything of it. Quickly he took another bite of his apple, realizing that it was there. Yes sometimes he did forget that matter was there, even if it was in his hand. Which, in its own right made for some pretty damn funny moments.
However he couldn't help but wonder what was up with Prudence. Something just seemed off, yet he couldn't quite put his finger on it. /She just needs help, no really big deal./ He thought, taking another bite of his apple. At that point he couldn't help but think of the stereotype that teachers loved receiving apples as gifts from students. Well in his case, it seemed to be quite true.

Prudence sat through the rest of her classes, able to have something to look forward to each day. Her seeking help after school worked for her benefit and enjoyment a lot more than just getting the higher grade handed to her. When her final bell rang she made her way back to Mr. Zadok's room.
She was unsure if she was seeming too eager showing up the day he offered. But maybe she would seem eager to learn opposed to her attempt at begging for a new grade. Maybe he would be proud of her? Prudence mentally shook her head and told herself to stop coming to conclusions so quickly.

Aeron hated having to stay after the bell 'But teachers had too.' "Bleh, damn liars." He muttered distastefully. Honestly he just wanted something to do that wasn't yelling at his last period class for misbehaving. Which, he oft did have too because none of them really listened.
Taking a marker he made a smiley face on the board and started drawing doodles on it, like a kid. Of course it had a tongue sticking out and a hat! He put a cape on it with the welsh flag, which was rather horribly drawn. He wasn't the art teacher, after all. It wasn't his job to make beautiful pictures.

Prudence quietly watched him from the open classroom door, smiling a little. "Mr. Zadok?" She asked, clearing her throat to get his attention. "I was wondering if I could take up your offer for some extra help?" she asked as she admired his childish drawing on his whiteboard.
She smiled, maybe he wasn't so mean of a guy after all. She adjusted her bangs, quickly scanning around the classroom. It was surprisingly still clean despite the rowdy class he had. She only knew this because she could hear them down the hallway.
