The wide field was completely deserted, all except for the two of them. It was time to trash something, get drunk, fool around like they used to. But from what he had heard she was taken. That, and whoever her boyfriend was could probably kick his pasty ass. Thomas fought like a little bitch, he kicked and spat and pulled down their trousers. He took a swig from the beer bottle in his hand. "Haven't talked t'ya in a wee bit," he smiled, "Wh'you been up t'dear?" he looked over to her in the dimming light, she hadn't changed a bit since he last saw her. They had partied together at the beginning of the summer, and every time Thomas and his brother came down to California for a vacation they'd meet up and get completely smashed. He didn't know one girl that was as tough as she was in a crowd without looking disgusting.
He had to admit, when he first met her he had sort of a thing for her, but he knew well enough not to bother. He lived in Yorkshire at the time, while she was a country away.

Sarah rolled her eyes and took the almost empty beer bottle. Son of a bitch... "How the hell do you drink a whole bottle of beer when you're already trashed!" She took the final swig from the bottle. She hadn't seen Tom in a little while and she really missed him.
Sarah's head spun, she was a little drunk, but not terribly, just enough to function properly. That would be changed with the way Tom drinks and eggs her on to do it, too.

They wandered around behind the bleachers, the afternoon sunlight was fading quickly. "My liver deserves it," he chuckled. "M'no where near done yet." They both reeked of alcohol and Tom was in need of a piss. "Hold on mate," he said as he ducked away from her to relieve himself.
They didn't know each other very well sober, at all. They were always either smashed, hung over or too high to properly function without fits of laughter. He probably would have never talked to her if she hadn't approached him and his brother, truth be told.

Sarah turned her body half around to avoid watching Tom piss. He really had no manners when he was hammered. It was actually a little annoying. "God, Tom. Under the bleachers? At least go to the bathrooms, they're probably open anyway." Sarah was proud of herself, she usually gets hammered and takes her top off.
Sarah didn't even remember how this even started. She knew Tom from a little while ago but that was about it. She enjoyed his company. Well, she didn't know that. Whenever they've met, he was always influenced by something. But when he was influenced he was a pretty decent guy.

"Too late now, can't jus' stop.." you could hear the cheeky smile in his voice. Tom didn't make her wait much longer, finishing up and returning to her side. "Wh'y'wanna do now tha' w'he'a?" he asked before drinking that last of his beer and tossing it into the bushes near by.
He wanted to kiss her cheek, stick his tongue in her ear; something to bother her but he knew it would upset her more than make her laugh.

"Nice littering." Sarah laughed. She folded her arms over her chest when Tom came stumbling over. She smiled at his drunken slurs. "I don't know, you dragged me out here. I was expecting you planned something," Sarah stated, "But you haven't. Shocker." She giggled. She should have know a night with Tom was making out and listening to his drunk slurs.
They were fine, she understood him perfectly. Some annoying people would be like, 'What the hell are you talking about?' or 'Get out of here, drunk.' She smiled, Tom was her drunk. She pretty much knew how to speak Tom's drunk speak. It was a special skill she's acquired. Her skills were much more honed when she was buzzed- Just like now.

He grinned, "M'bein' a prop'a gentlemen's all, don't wanna jump th'gun." he said, trapping her arms as he embraced her. Tom laughed childishly and copped a feel on her. He let her go after a few seconds and dug around his trouser pockets for his pack of smokes.
Retrieving the packaged he smiled and lit one. He liked how she could properly understand him, either way he generally gave up trying to say things clearer for someone. Right from the start Sarah had always managed to make out what he was trying to get across with his slang and sloppy pronunciation.

"Proper gentleman my ass," Sarah grabbed a smoke from Toms pack. "Thanks, buddie." She smiled, grabbed her pink lighter from her pocket and lit one. She inhaled, the nicotine filling her lungs. She exhaled making little smoke rings. Tom liked those.
She giggled and inhaled again, holding her breath and letting the smoke come out of her nose. She stashed her lighter in her back pocket. She held the cigarette in her lips and sat on the grass. Patting the green earth next to her, signaling Tom to sit with her.

"Y've a fine ass at that," Tom said as he sat down beside her, smiling. He leaned back, supporting himself with his free hand as he held his cigarette in his other, taking a drag on it. "Y'found a boyfriend yet, o'what?" he asked, laying back on the grass to gaze up at the stars. He actually wasn't horribly intoxicated, but to the point where everything had that warm, fuzzy glow to it.
He wasn't sure why he had asked her that personal question, must've been the alcohol after all. Maybe he just wanted to make sure he wasn't going to get beaten up come Monday.

She smiled. Oh, Tom. You and your personal questions. She took a drag. "No, I don't have a boyfriend." She sighed, while exhaling smoke. She tilted her head up, towards the heavens. "Stars are beautiful, aren't they? It's hard to believe there zillions of miles away."
She laid next to him on the grass. The sky looks good when you're sober, but even better when you're buzzed. She said to herself. It was a really nice night. The stars were shining bright. She even thought she saw a planet.

"Mhm," the stars were really nice out. "Propp'a weird, innit? Th'so far away and tiny he'a. Imagine whot they'd look like if y'woz in space." he smiled taking another drag on his cigarette. He tapped the ash of into the grass and turned his head towards her.
He sighed contently, he was actually enjoying himself despite they're lack of actually doing anything. Maybe stargazing is actually worthwhile.

Sarah sighed and exhaled smoke from her lungs. It was probably the mixture of stars, smoke, and alcohol that made this night magical. What if we were in space? Would the stars fry our spaceship to a burnt crisp? She imagined being in zero-gravity. Tom would probably enjoy that.
"It would be awesome if we were in space." She tapped ash into a spot of dirt. She wished she had an ashtray, she wouldn't feel so bad about charring the earth. "If we were, it would be wonderful." She smiled, if she went into space with Tom he'd probably be too high to notice the stars, and planets.

Images and thoughts of seeing the spheres of fire up close danced through his head. He wondered how bright they would be. And of course, what it would be like to see an entire galaxy while stoned. And weightless. What would they do if they crashed into something? Would he treat it like a videogame and navigate their way to safety on a foreign planet? His thoughts shifted to the crash landing scheme, and ending up on a far away and unknown star. Maybe they would encounter aliens on their travels.
Maybe he'd get some from an alien. ew, nevermind they're probably not very fit.
Thomas grinned to himself at the story playing in his head, blurting out his thoughts. "D'y'think if w'ever met an alien she'd be hot? Like, Vulcans?" He laughed, placing the cigarette to his lips again.

Sarah laughed. "Vulcans?!" she kept laughing. "Tom, you're so funny!" Vulcans were her favorite race of alien. "We probably would meet one," she giggled, "but Vulcans don't much care for humans!" She took a drag, and smiled. "If we did land on Vulcan, they'd probably eat us. It's logic, isn't it?" Sarah had no idea what kind of logic that was, probably a knockoff of Vulcan logic.
"What we really should be worried about is meeting Romulans or Klingons. They'd kill us in an instant." Sarah was quite a Star Trek fan, she'd seen the remake of the movie and liked it more than the previous versions, she'd forgotten about most things on Star Trek and placed all of her logic on one two-hour movie.

He exhaled and smoke whispered from his lips. He reasoned with her, "I'd charm them an'win over th'race. Klingon females isn't all t'appealing mind you. It'd be like Dances Wif' Wolves or Avatar." He shuddered at the thought of them, much preferring Vulcans to any other alien species. His favourite movies had to be the Predator and Alien series though.
"Whot about...if w'came across those things from Predator or Alien, Xenomorphs o'whateva' th'called?" he asked. "We'd be propp'a screwed, innit?"
