Kyle laughed out loud; a loud, slightly embarrassing, "Ha!" and looked down for a brief moment. "That sounds super dirty." She admitted, her slightly dirty mind showing through a bit. "But, I guess it did rhyme, so you just had to inform me." She pressed her lips together, hugging her notebook firmly in her arms. That was so embarrassing earlier! She wondered if he saw anything.
She looked back up at him and nodded. "The teachers are really nice most of the time. At least, for me they are. There's this new English teacher, though. The name is 'Fitz,' but since my schedule doesn't give the first name or whether or not it's a guy or girl, that's all I know." She made a face and shrugged. "Did you get your schedule yet?"

"Indeed I had to inform you." Cadeyrn said with a slight smile. "And now that you mention it, it sounds so freaking dirty! Thank you for that." He said sarcastically. He could see the notebook out of the corner of his eye, and once more the thought came across his mind that he hoped that it was the name of her crush. It was only at that moment that he realized he was blushing again, and he tried in vain to cover it up.
"Yeah, I've got my schedule. Since this is my senior year I took mostly easy classes, I have almost all my credits out of my way." Of course English was one of the classes on his schedule. Science was another, the other two were electives. He pulled his schedule out of his hoodie pocket and gave it to her. Part of him hoped they'd have a class together. After all, if he did she might be able to show him around a bit. And he would already know her the first day. Plus, why not want a cute girl in your class?

Kyle watched his eyes carefully, noting that they kept going to her notebook. She tried to maneuver so it was better hidden in her arms, but decided to just set the papers down behind her and set her bag on top of them. She turned back to him and smiled. Was he blushing? Or is that just... how his face is?
Kyle took the crumpled piece of paper out of her back pocket and unfolded it. It had her locker number and combination on it, so she didn't want to hand it over to him and say, "Compare!" Instead, she eyed it, folded it back up and put it back in her pocket. "Do you have Fitz for English? It's kind of likely, since it's a class higher than the one I'm supposed to be in. I'm a junior by credit, but a sophomore by year."

"Yeah, do you guys do senior projects or was that something only my school did?" Cadeyrn asked, raising his eyebrow. He realized that she was looking at him, particularly his face. /Shit./ He thought without much attitude to it. Almost monotone.
"I hope that these teachers don't knock on me for being so tall, I had one of those at my last school. Although.. He was funny as hell I have to give him that, he didn't really mean it." He was rambling on to himself about nothing really important. In fact he wouldn't be surprised if Kyle didn't even hear him.

Kyle nodded. "Yeah, most kids do senior projects." She said. "But advance placement and international baccalaureate kids don't have to." She scratched at her fingernail, picking the nail polish off. She thought about those I.B. kids; she never really talked to them. They were like. Hard core nerds, and most of them hated her.
She pressed her lips together. "I think a lot of teachers will have fun poking at your height." She said, with a smirk. "I mean, think about it. It's classic. What else are they going to talk to you about?" She asked, looking him up and down again. At least seven feet tall. He had to be! Or, maybe he just looked larger than he actually was because she was so small. It was definitely something to ponder.

"Damnitttt." Cadeyrn said, drawing it out into more of a whine. "I make A's I shouldn't have to do it. Ugh, and to think I had someone promise to help me before too, I feel so cheated." He couldn't help but grin as he 'complained' about it. In the back of his mind he knew he still had to do it but... He honestly didn't want too.
"My good performance?" Cadeyrn said with a slight sigh. "Well, as long as they're good jokes I don't care, but if they're shitty I have reason to complain to the office. The teachers need better jokes! I'll probably look crazy, but I probably already sound crazy so... What does it matter?" He looked down at her with a slight smile. "You seem to keep marveling at my height." He joked.

"Your height is... a marvelous sight!" She said, with a slight laugh. It was true, though. She really could not get over how tall he was, and how short she was. It made her almost self conscious about her height. Like, maybe if she were taller... Ugh, never mind. She didn't even know how that sentence would be finished. What? Like, maybe if she were taller, he'd like her better?
But what did she care if the new kid liked her or not? That's right. She didn't. So, she should just go back to obsessing over her fantasy of the next time she'd see Ezra. She bit her lip and squinted her eyes, deep in thought. Another gust of wind blew, but it didn't tear her papers apart this time. She snapped out of it, and looked back up at Cade, hoping he didn't realize her weird little trance.

"Why thank you." Cadeyrn said with a smile. "It's nice to know somebody likes how tall I am. Although I like it when I don't hit my head on bleachers. I got a pretty bad combination I think, tall AND clumsy." He looked down at her and blinked, a knowing look in his eyes. "You should be glad you're so short, you don't have to duck everywhere you go. Or worry about getting owned by poles and stuff."
There was no question about it, he definitely liked this girl. "So um... Is there any chance you might be able to show me around the school a bit? I haven't even been in the building yet. Just kind of walking and thinking and wandering, to be honest." He asked as subtly as he could, trying not to be imposing. He didn't want her to think that he was a pushy guy, in fact he was just the opposite.

Kyle smiled, looking down at her worn out all-black converse. There was a fatty hole in the side of them where you could see her brightly striped sock through. She squeezed an eye closed in thought and shrugged. "I dunno," she said. "Some days I like being short and other days I wish I were tall enough to crush the world!" She held up a menacing fist. As if being short was stopping her from crushing the world.
Kyle was going to own this world one day, whether you believe it or not. She has that kind of potential. But, it all starts here with showing the new kid around school. "Sure! I'll show you around." She said with a bright smile. What would she show him first? Probably one of her most favorite spot in the whole school- the library!

"I'm 6'11" and I'm not tall enough to crush the world. You'd have to be like, monster-tall." Cadeyrn said with a grin. "Although I'd say I'm damn close, I always have to look down so I don't trip over people. Then I hit my head because I should have been looking up." He couldn't help but laugh at his own, obvious, stupidity. Although that was a challenge for him, having to look up and down at the same time.
"Thanks! If you didn't I'd be wandering around like a lost puppy all day. Hitting my head on doors and bleachers and the like." Cadeyrn said, he paused for a moment and looked around. He made sure to take in his surroundings and know exactly where this place was. "So, where to first?" At least he sounded excited at the prospect of getting a tour around the school. /Especially from someone who seems to know where the hell they're going./

Kyle picked up her papers and shoved them inside her bag. She slung the bag of her shoulder and looked back up at the kid. "Uhm, how about the library? It's pretty close by, and impressive, if I do say so myself." She had completely forgotten about the fact that she still wanted to go home and get cute for the day, but she shrugged it off. She didn't need to get too cute just to show the new boy around.
Now, see, if she came across Ezra, she'd be screwed. Because she did need to look cute for him, regardless of whether or not he claimed she looked good without make up. She started to walk next to Cade in the direction of the library and wondered if he was as fanatical about literature as she was. "So, where are you from?" She asked, to start conversation.

"Alright, cool. My last school's library was huge, I hope this one's up to par." Cadeyrn said, narrowing the distance between his steps. His wide, fleeting gate would make it hard for her to keep up with him. /She'd probably have to run./ He thought to himself with amusement. A small grin formed on his face, showing how truly amused he really was.
Her next question took him a bit by surprise, but he was able to answer her quickly. "Mount Juliet, Tennessee. Really small town, good people though I'll give it that much. I really miss my old school though, I loved that place." He waited for her to aim some insult toward him about the country, people usually always did.

Kyle raised her eyebrows. "People in Tennessee always have a plan; they're all going to be famous some day for something." She actually really admired Tennessee, and Nashville in particular. It was like the LA of the midlands; only the people there eventually make their way to LA. "My brother used to always talk about moving to Nashville to become famous." She said, smiling in rememberance.
Once they reached the library, Kyle made an attempt at pulling open one of the heavy wooden doors. It was a difficult task for someone so small; often times when she was carrying something she had to ask for help. Most people were nice about it, but others would grumble under their breath about how annoying it was that they had to help a little freshman out. She hoped that her second year would be a lot better in that sense; she'd need less help.

"You know, you're kind of right. I want to be a famous actor actually." Cadeyrn said, a slight smile on his face. "And Nashville's a great place. Although it sort of bums me that most bands go to Atlanta instead on tours. Four-hour drives suck, and sometimes they weren't even worth it either." He broke off of his rant. "What is it that your brother wants to become famous for? I have connections."
Cadeyrn watched Kyle try and pull open one of the doors. "Need some help?" He asked, opening the door next to him with almost no effort at all. And holding it open if she would accept his help, although most girls tended to want to do things like open doors themselves. He knew that from experience. Unconsciously he brought up a hand and rubbed his nose.

Kyle sighed thankfully. "Thanks," she said, walking through the door. A burst of conditioned, somewhat salty air blew against her face. It tasted salty, but it smelled like old wood and paper. Makes sense, considering it was a library. "Brandon doesn't have any talent. He just wanted people to know his name." She rolled her eyes.
Her and her stupid brother had always had a little rivalry. Brandon always claimed he was going to be famous for something; baseball, probably. And Kyle made a silent bet that she would be famous before him. But, she hadn't had a talent, either. Maybe playing piano, if she had actually focused on learning and not goofed around the entire lesson. She knew how to play chopsticks perfectly, at least.
